Secondary
The Knowledge Gate International School Secondary Curriculum empowers students to develop a wide range of strategies that promote independence, innovation and enterprise.
All our students experience a challenging, broad yet balanced holistic curriculum that is underpinned by our values.
The curriculum model foregrounds the Cambridge International Curriculum in grades 6-8 (UK Years 7-9), and adopts a skills based approach to learning, which ensures high expectations and subject mastery. We encourage the development of key learning skills including critical thinking, problem solving, creativity and research, all of which inculcate a lifelong love of learning.
Students in grades 9 and 10 (UK Years 10 and 11) have access to a wide range of iGCSE subject options to choose from.
Our Knowledge Gate International School teaching staff have high expectations and strong specialist subject knowledge, and ensure teaching is personalised to challenge all students in order to accelerate progress. Learning is supported by a range of high quality specialist facilities including science laboratories, performing arts spaces, a well-stocked library, ICT suites and art studios. Our physical education offering includes state of the art sports courts and a swimming pool. Furthermore, the school has already begun an exciting three-year development project to upgrade and expand existing facilities.
